Our studio’s Tattoo Mentorship is a paid program, and you will need to pay for the training.
Before becoming our mentee, we require an assessment of each candidate. We will review their portfolio to ensure they have a solid foundation in art and a deep passion for creativity. We respect the tattoo profession, recognizing that it is not an easy job, and we must acknowledge its seriousness. Only then will we offer an Mentorship opportunity.
Therefore, we are willing to allow you to become a tattoo artist through a few months of training.
Mentorship Program Overview:
Tattooing is a craft that requires practice and experience, which is why we do not offer crash courses. Our tuition is paid monthly. Only mentee who complete all of our required exercises will have the opportunity to work as junior tattoo artists in our studio.
Tuition and Duration of Mentorship:
Our tuition is paid monthly. During the studio‘s business hours, you can choose any time that fits your schedule to practice and complete your course. You will receive one-on-one guidance from our instructor.
The length of your Mentorship will depend on your progress. Each student must complete all required exercises, with the instructor grading each part before moving on to the next. The curriculum includes practicing line work, curves, fine line art, shading, and realistic tattoos on Practice skin. You will also complete 15 tattoo works done on a real person. Additionally, you’ll design two flash pieces each week and complete at least six flash designs each month to enrich your portfolio.
We believe that the learning process should be voluntary. We won’t constantly remind you to come to the studio to learn, Once you enter this industry, no one will prompt you to design new tattoo pieces, post updates, or create new advertisements. As a tattoo artist, you are self-employed, which means you need to possess strong self-management and time-management skills.
Limited Enrollment:
Our instructor's time is limited, and to ensure that each mentee receives proper guidance in tattooing, we have a cap on the number of apprentices we accept. we accept a maximum of three mentees each month. If you’re interested but spots are full, you will be placed on a waiting list. We will contact those on the waiting list if a spot opens up.
Once you complete all the required coursework, you will have the opportunity to work as a junior tattoo artist in our studio.
We chose you as an mentee because we believe you have the potential to become a tattoo artist, and we hope that you can join our team in the future as a tattoo artist. Therefore, we maintain a rigorous attitude and respect for this industry, hoping that each mentee builds a solid foundation. Our courses are not quick-fix programs; if you want to accelerate your progress, you need to practice daily in the studio and also put in extra practice at home. This is the only way to speed up your completion of the course.
What mentees need to prepare:
You need to have a machine, an iPad, or a laptop. The studio will be provided with other supplies required for tattoo practice.
What to prepare for your portfolio during the interview:
